Hello everyone, i'm currently working on a piece for a Halloween show.  so i haven't been posting as much as i would like.  but this piece really has me spinning my wheels.  I usually put a lot of pressure on myself when i do these types of pieces, mainly because the show has a lot of really great artist participating.  so i feel the need to do something as cool as i can while staying true to the theme of the show.  so i will be posting more info about the show and some images of the piece i'm doing as i finalize it.  so stay tuned.

all i can say is WOW!!!!!!  That was a lot of work.  i want to say first off, thanks for all the people that bought the book.  i was very excited to meet you all and hopefully do some artwork for you.  Next i would like all my friends that actually came down and supproted me as well.  co-workers, fellow artist, and family thank you very much.  i must say that it was a lot of work but it was definitely worth it.  i meet a lot of cool people and was told that i inspired them to create their own works.  i sincerely hope that everyone that i meet was happy with the book and will hopefully be following my cojntinued career.  I do want to say something though, as i hopefully inspired some, this whole book was brought about by Mr.Jose Lopez artist of Mariachi Samurai, if you haven't picked up his book you absoulutely should.  i know Jose through work and when i saw his book i abandoned my dreams of doing a superheroe themed book and wanted to do some thing i felt was as unigue as his offering.  So i then set out on the creation of my own book.  So Jose thanks alot for taking things to the next level and helping me with my book, thanks.  So for those of you unable to attend the con and purchase my book.  Stewart Ng has some ovf my books for sale and i will hqve my PayPal account set up soon so you can by them directly from me.  So thanks again and keep ckecking in, i will have soem cool stuff to share very soon, bye.

o.k. i had my in store last night and it went pretty good.  i sold more books to The House of Secrets, an awesome store, thanks Paul.  i sold some original artwork, which was very cool, and made some new friends.  i did a lot of drawings for people that showed up.  since the line wasn't wrapped around the place, i was able to do something in everyones book.  i hope that they were happy with the sketches.  so i have passed the first public herdile and now it's time for the big show.  i'm a little nervous, but also very excited that the show is a week and and a haly away.  so for those of you that are attending the show i would love for you to come over to the artist alley ROW JJ TABLES 2-3 is where i and my good friend Shawn Mcmanaus will be located.  i would also like to thank all of the Stan Lee Media crew that showed up fpr the in-store, it was great to see you all and catch up.  also all my friends that were there and paid fulll price for the book, it means a lot to me.  so here's to the next adventure.  i will post photos of the in-store this week and will for sure have comic con photos after the show.  so wish me luck and i hope to meet some of you there, bye.

hello everyone,  for the past nine months i have been running furiously towards my goal of publishing my first art book, and having it ready for Comic Con.  it was a hell of a journey, and a lot of fun.  but in all the craziness i forgot one of my yearly traditions that i have been tyring to keep.  you see for the last three years i have been doing a sculpt of one of my favorite Hellboy characters.  the first year i did Hellboy, the second i did Von Klempt, and last year i did the Baba Yaga which i just posted.  i started doing this because where i work i would see the many talented sculpters working  and i became interested in this new medium of art.  and like i said in the Baba Yaga post, ther is something awesome about creating something with your own two hands, that you can actually touch and feel.  and since i'm a huge Hellboy fan, the purpose of these sculpts is to give one to Mike Mignola, it's my way of saying thanks for the great characters that he has created, and i have so richly enjoyed.    so leading up to Comic Con i will try to post art as time permits.  i have been pretty good at posting a couple of times a week.   But i want to take the time  now to the show to finish my current sculpt.  also i have quite a few things still left to do to get myself ready for the show, since i will be there selling my book.  so i hope that you continue to check in, and more importantly i hope that i get to meet some of you at Comic Con.  so stop by the table and say hi, and after the show i will be back posting as much stuff as possible to hopefully keep you all interested and entertained, thanks alot .

what can i say about the kind words from the most up-beat guy i know, Dusty Abell.  i can only assume that the recent surge of visitors to my site is due to his kind word and from his legion of fans.  i would seriuosly like to thank him and many other of my friends who have paid full price for my book.  they did it to support the book and i truly do apprciate it.  i just wanted to say thanks to everyone and if you should pick up my book i hope i get a chance to meet you personally to tell you thanks.  i will be having a in store at The House of Secrets in beautiful Burbank.  Paul the owner of the store has been nice enough to carry The Afterlife and was graciuos enough to offer his store as site to my first in store.  i plan on signing and copies of my book and will have some of teh original art for sale.  i will keep everyone updated as the date gets closer.

well i'm mere days away from receiving the copies of the Afterlife.  it has been a long process, but my first self published artbook will soon be set upon the masses.  now some may ask, why did you do a horror themed artbook?  the main reason was because though i truly love the superhero genre, i didn't want to do something that other artist were doing.  i decided to go against the grain and try to do something that would separate myself from other sketch books.  my book is also a full color, 76 page hardback book,  the reason for this is once again to really give the person and hopefully persons that buy my book something that will be worth the money they spend.  since it's a good bet that they will have absolutely no idea of who i am.  so keep checking back here to see more images from the book.  thanks and i hope you all enjoy the work so far.
